Fremont Medical Center Auxiliary

If you’re interested in volunteer service at a hospital in Yuba City, the Auxiliary is for you. In existence since 1959, the Fremont Medical Center Auxiliary members render service to the hospital and patients, raise funds for gifts, and act as a liaison group to the public. Some volunteer opportunities include:

  • Gift Shop
  • Information Desk
  • Maternity Tours
  • Puppets & Frogs
  • Surgery Hostess

Fremont Medical Center Junior Auxiliary

14 to 21 years old

If you’re between 14 and 21 years and want to start a habit of volunteer service early, remember the Junior Volunteer Program. In existence since 1960, Junior Volunteers run errands for stations, serve refreshments, and man the information desk. Other volunteer opportunities include:

  • Gift Shop
  • Pediatric Surgery Tours

Rideout Memorial Hospital Auxiliary

21 years and older

If you’re interested in volunteer service at a hospital in Marysville, the Auxiliary is for you. In existence since 1958, the Rideout Auxiliary members served the hospital, patients and families. They also raise funds for gifts, and act as a liaison group to the public. Some volunteer opportunities include:

  • Floral Design
  • Gift Shop
  • Information Desk
  • The Pink Trunk Thrift Shop
  • Mended Hearts

Senior Living

15 years and older

  • The Fountains Skilled Nursing
  • The Courtyard Assisted Living/
  • The Gardens Dementia & Special Care

If you have a desire to work with geriatric and disabled persons and the ability to generate enthusiasm, then consider becoming a volunteer! Assist activities staff with a variety of fun activities such as activities, dietary delivery and outings.

Fremont-Rideout Hospice

18 years and older

Hospice Volunteers are a special group of people who are available to provide supportive services for patients with a terminal illness and their caregivers. Volunteers are an essential part of the Hospice Team. Some services that Hospice Volunteers provide are:

  • Assisting in office duties, filing, correspondence, etc.
  • Helping with personal correspondence, reading, or just listening
  • Providing child care
  • Providing transportation for physician office visits and treatments
  • Relieving a caregiver for short periods of time
  • Visiting with patients

Rideout Emergency

18 years and older

Have an interest in the medical field? Like a fast-paced environment? Want to be a part of a team? Yes! Then the Rideout Emergency Volunteer program is for you. Volunteers provide assistance and support to patients, staff, visitors, families and others. Excellent volunteer opportunity for medical students needing hands-on experience.
