Center
Building Expansion Project
Across the nation, the need for cancer services continues to grow each year and it is particularly high in our region. Increasing patient volumes and new services continue to drive this demand. The 2007 and 2008 remodeling expansion projects have since reached maximum occupancy and FRCC is now facing the need to expand again.
The plan calls for doubling our size from 21,952 sq. ft. to 42,086 and includes adding infusion chairs, exam rooms, physician offices, pharmacy space, adding a 2nd linear accelerator, and a PET/CT unit. This will allow us to provide our patients with comprehensive cancer care at one location and provide new state-of-the-art technology and diagnostic services.
As the need of our community grows, and medical technology advances, it is important for our cancer center to provide the most advanced care to our patients. Additionally, it is important that this care be provided in one convenient location lessening the burden to the patients and families. Through the expansion plan as described above, we can accomplish this plan and continue to be the cancer center of choice in the region.
