Childbirth Classes:Parents-to-be are invited to attend free Childbirth classes, sponsored by the Fremont Medical Center Prenatal Department, and is part of the Fremont-Rideout Health Group Community Health Education Program.

Childbirth Preparation: This all day Saturday class is for Moms in their last trimester of their pregnancy and their support person. Topics will include what to expect with delivering at Fremont Medical Center, what to bring to the hospital, pain management, breastfeeding, information on cesarean section, birth options and a visit with a local Pediatrician. Classes are free and are held in the Fremont-Rideout Conference Center 989 Plumas Street, Yuba City(across from Fremont Medical Center ), 9:00am to 3:00pm. To register, please call 751-4165. Lifesaver Baby:Learn important safety information taught by the Registered Nursing staff from Fremont Medical Center Nursery. Staff will demonstrate infant CPR and choking, and all participants will have time to practice. Breastfeeding, How to and Why: Learn information on preparing for a successful breastfeeding experience with your newborn (Recommended in the 2^nd and 3^rd trimester). Classes are free and are held in the Fremont-Rideout Conference Center 989 Plumas Street, Yuba City (across from Fremont Medical Center ), 6:30pm. to 8:30pm. Raffle at the end of each class. Maternity Department Tours – Family Birth Center at Fremont: Come tour and learn information about the Family Birth Center at Fremont hospital. The tours will familiarize mothers-to-be and their families with the labor and delivery, nursery and post partum units and to answer questions. The Fremont Medical Center Auxiliary has a gift for all mothers-to-be who attend! The tours are from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and begin in the Fremont-Rideout Conference Center located across the street from Fremont hospital, 989 Plumas St., Yuba City. For more information call 751-4165. Smoking Cessation Classes: The program, Clean Break, is designed to help participants learn how to quit smoking or chewing tobacco. The classes are free, and are held at The Heart Center at Rideout, Cardiology Education Room, 725 4^th Street, Suite 200 in Marysville. Volunteer Appreciation Day: National Volunteer Week, April 19-25, pays special tribute to hospital volunteers who give of themselves to better their communities and the lives of others. Fairway To HEALTH Golf Tournament: The Fremont-Rideout Foundation will hold the 19^th Annual Fairway to Health Golf Tournament, May 7 and 8, at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club in Marysville.
