Have a Heart...Save a Heart

 and so is the equipment to save them.

Dear Friend of the Foundation,

When someone suffers a heart attack, first responders administer life-saving care on the way to the hospital.  Once the patient arrives at the Rideout Emergency Room, medical personnel must attach the patient to an EKG (Electrocardiography) machine. 

 

That takes time, and time is one thing the patient does not have. 

 

Now, there is a time- and life-saving answer: Wireless EKG Machines.  They transmit critical heart data to the hospital en route wirelessly and immediately when every second counts.  Doctors can diagnose the condition of the patient’s heart, identify the best treatment protocol, and be ready to treat the patient when they arrive to the ER, while they are still miles – and precious minutes – away.

 

The Fremont-Rideout Health Group is committed to bringing this technology to our community and has asked The Foundation for support.

 

The advantages are obvious – and enormous.  The Foundation would like to ask you to help us install wireless EKG machines in 12 area ambulances to help save lives.  These machines are not cheap, however.  Each has a price tag of roughly $25,000, and the sooner they can be installed the sooner they can start saving lives.This is where you come in.  Can we count on your support of the Foundation Annual Appeal by giving a generous gift to help us start saving lives immediately?  You can help us achieve this goal.
