Recently, East Nicolaus High School held Every 15 Minutes (E15M), a program designed to challenge students to think about drinking and driving, personal safety, the responsibility of making mature decisions and the impact their decisions have on family, friends and their community.
This event could not have happened at ENHS without a lot of hard work and months of planning by a dedicated group of individuals. Thank you to ENHS faculty members, Ms. Preet Cheema, Mrs. Janine Clements, Mr. Daniel Priddy, and Mrs. Teena Earhart for supporting this program. ENHS students Becky Atchley, Haley Brogard, Hayley Culp and Alisha Smith raised over $3,000 to make this event a reality for our school. Their belief their peers needed to hear this message provided a strong backing for donors to support E15M on our campus.
ENHS would also like to thank the California Highway Patrol and Officer Beck for her work on behalf of our school: CHP Officer Deleon; Janet Siller from Friday Night Live; East Nicolaus and Pleasant Grove fire departments; Sutter, Sacramento and Yuba County sheriff's departments; Yuba City Rotary and Yuba City Kiwanis Service Organizations; Bi-County Ambulance; Sutter County Coroner; Rideout Hospital; Sutter County Jail; Ullrey Memorial Chapel; Trauma Intervention Program specialists; Sutter County EHRMs; Force4Digits; the Appeal-Democrat for its coverage of this event; guest speakers and Lynn Goodwin from Casey's Pledge; Mary Van Dyke, ENHS Boosters and ENHS Leadership Class for their generous donations; the ENHS FNL Class, ENHS staff and faculty; the ENHS Board of Trustees; and ENHS parents and community members who were supportive in making this a meaningful event.
