Cafeteria Hours
The Cafeteria at Rideout Memorial Hospital is open during the following times: M-Fri 6:30a-2p and 2:30-9p; Sat-Sun. 6:30a-2:30p
Vending Machines: Food and drink vending machines are located on the 1st floor of both Rideout Memorial Hospital and Fremont Medical Center.
Gift Shop
The hospitals Gift Shop is located on the first floor, near the Main Lobby and is staffed by volunteers. The Gift Shops have a nice assortment of gifts, magazines, jewelry, cards, flowers, toiletries, etc…
Newspapers, Flowers and Balloons
During your stay, flowers and any mail addressed to you will be delivered to your room. Once you are discharged, we will forward any mail to your home address and return the flowers to the florist who delivered them. The florist will be responsible for contacting you regarding flower delivery. Flower are welcome in all areas of the hospital except the ICU and Cardiovascular ICU.
Latex balloons are not permitted within the hospital due to potential severe allergies among patients and staff. Mylar balloons are allowed.
Newspapers are available to patients for free. Please make your request with your nurse or an available volunteer.
Maps, Directions & Parking
Free parking is available for patients and visitors. Parking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please be sure to lock your car. If you need an escort to your car, you may call a Public Safety Officer at Fremont Medical Center by dialing 751-4223 or at Rideout Memorial Hospital by dialing 749-4640.
Valet Parking
Complimentary Valet Parking is provided at Rideout Hospital. Valets be found near the front of the Rideout Hospital campus. Valet Parking is available from 6am-8pm Monday through Friday.

Visiting Hours
Before visiting a patient, please read our Hospital Visitor Policy During Flu Season.
Patient care is our primary concern and, in order to enhance the quality of care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established for each unit.
Preferred visiting hours are from 10a-8p on all Medical/Surgical units. Each patient is limited to two (2) visitors at one time. However, adult accompanied siblings may visit on postpartum and pediatric units. Visitors in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients.
In order to maintain a restful environment for the patient and allow for nursing care, visiting hours in the Intensive Care Units (ICU) are limited to 5-10 minutes per hour. Children under 12 are generally not permitted, per hospital policy, in the ICU. Children under 13 are generally not permitted in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
Nursing staff may use discretion to alter these restrictions as warranted by patient condition. Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
