George Broder, MD, FACC, FAHA, a specialist in cardiovascular medicine directs the new Rideout Specialty Care Center in Penn Valley.
Dr. Broder brings more than 25 years of non-invasive and interventional cardiology to Rideout Health. He comes to us from Desert Heart Physicians Medical Group in Palm Springs, California. His expertise includes a full range of consultative cardiology and the management of cardiac diseases; electrocardiography; transthoracic and stress echocardiography; implantation of single and dual chamber pacemakers: and electrical cardioversion.
Dr. Broder is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. He graduated from the USC School of Medicine In Los Angeles, and did a fellowship in Cardiology at the National Heart Hospital in London, England. Subsequently, he served as Commander, U.S. Public Health Service, and was Chief of Cardiology at the USPHS Hospital in Boston. He later began a private practice in Cardiology in the Los Angeles area. From 1993-1999, he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center.
