Survivors, Patients, Family & Community Members,
The Rideout Cancer Center celebrated its 10th Anniversary in September 2010. The center, which is affiliated with the UC Davis Health System, opened in September 2000 and provides our patients the quality of care they might expect from a large university medical center with the compassion and personalization of a community hospital. The center offers complete medical services to its patients including radiation therapy, chemotherapy and telemedicine. The Cancer Center also participates in Clinical Trials.
In order to accommodate significant patient growth, we are working on our Cancer Expansion Project. The remodel will allow us to continue to grow and provide the highest quality of care to our patients, and meet the current needs of our community. The expansion will include fourteen additional infusion chairs, a new linear accelerator vault, PET/CT Suite, four exam rooms, clinic station, physician offices and an expanded pharmacy.
On a personal note, I have had the unique opportunity to work for the Center since its inception. The staff and I have worked hard to ensure the highest quality of care, and provide the latest options for cancer treatment. We have met courageous survivors, family and friends. We are grateful to our community for their dedicated support over the past ten years and look forward in seeing what the next ten years will bring. The Center has made a difference in so many lives and we hope it continues for many years to come.
