About the Cancer Center Expansion

The Cancer center Expansion will have a meaningful impact on the lives of many men and women in our community needing treatment for cancer. Last year alone, more than 800 new patients were referred to the Rideout Cancer Center resulting in 28,500 patient visits. Over the course of 2011, Rideout Health and UC Davis Health System plan to expand the Rideout Cancer Center chemotherapy, hematology and radiation oncology services to meet the needs of our growing community.
Cancer Center Design Basics
Our design goal is to match the existing facility both in architectural design and construction quality. This impressive facility must continue in the future to provide the image that has served so well.
Cancer Center Space Plans
The expansion of the Cancer Center will add 21,135 square feet of new construction. The expansion will enable us to add:
- 12 additional Transfusion Bays for a total of 26 bays
- 6 additional Exam Rooms for a total of 14 Exam Rooms
- 1 additional Linear Accelerators for a total of 2 Linear Accelerators
- 1 new PET CT Scanner
- 1 New Ultrasound
The additional space means more physicians, more exam rooms, more state-of-the-art equipment and more treatment stations. It means more time, more hope and more life for our patients and their families.
If you’d like to help us reach our goal of being the best medicine to more of those in need, donations are accepted at our donation page.
