Rideout Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Istikram Qaderi as Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer for Rideout Health.
Dr. Qaderi has been given responsibility for planning and directing Rideout's programs for patient safety and satisfaction, including infection prevention and control; analytics; risk management; and compliance with JCAHO and CMS standards and conditions of participation as well as state and federal regulations.
Dr. Qaderi, a former surgeon, shifted his career focus in recent years to helping healthcare organizations work with doctors and other staff to align clinical care and patient-centered services in programs for performance improvement. He has spoken and published extensively on topics such as quality, clinician engagement, safety, service and patient satisfaction.
Prior to joining Rideout Health, Dr. Qaderi was a Vice President of Quality for Martin's Point Healthcare in Portland, Maine. From 2007 to 2011, was Associate Vice President of Quality Resources for Champlain Valley Physician Hospital Medical Center in Plattsburgh, New York and from 2004 to 2006, was Senior Director for Performance Improvement and Customer Satisfaction for Arnot Health in Elmira, New York.
Dr. Qaderi earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore and his Masters in Professional Studies and Administration from Alfred University in New York State. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the National Association for Healthcare Quality and the American Society of Quality. He also is a member of the National Physician Advisory Council of Press Ganey, the nation's recognized leader in healthcare performance improvement and patient satisfaction measurement.
