The first DASH FOR DIABETES event will be held on Saturday, November 12 at the Yuba Sutter Mall.
The Rideout Foundation, in partnership with UC Davis Children’s Miracle Network, are co-sponsoring this community event to raise awareness of diabetes and the importance of physical activity and good nutrition. The goal is to heighten awareness and provide the community with information on how to live healthier, more productive lives.
Saturday, November 12 DASH for DIABETES Walk & Health Fair Yuba Sutter Mall, 1215 Colusa Ave., Yuba City 7:30am – 10:00 am – Dash for Diabetes Walk Registration 7:30 am, Walk 8:30am to 9:30am
Registered Walkers will walk to music and will get a free raffle ticket for each lap completed to win great prizes donated by a variety of individuals and businesses in our community.
Awards: Best dressed-individual, best-dressed kid, best-dressed team. One lucky walker participant will win a $500 Yuba Sutter Mall Gift Card, sponsored by the Yuba-Sutter Mall.
In addition, vendors and health screenings will be on site to provide education materials on prevention and controlling diabetes.
Kids participate free with a registered adult. Individual Pre-registration $10, Day of Registration $15 – Free t-shirt. Team Registration (5 to 15 walkers) $50.00.
