The FR Foundation’s Annual Evening of Appreciation Celebrated Our Donors and 10 Years of Cancer Care at DENIM & DIAMONDS.

Sept. 20, 2010

The Rideout Foundation hosted its annual Evening of Appreciation Dinner on Sept. 16, to thank our donors and volunteers and to honor the Fremont-Rideout Cancer Center 10 Year Anniversary.

The event featured a Denim & Diamonds theme, and took place under a grand tent at the Cancer Center grounds.

“Our Evening of Appreciation/Denim & Diamonds event, allowed us to honor our donors, and gave our donors an opportunity to learn more about the Rideout Cancer Center — and future Cancer Center expansion plans,” said Carol Ramirez, VP Foundation, Community Relations and Marketing.

“Foundation guests mixed their jeans with their jewels and enjoyed an elegant, action-packed evening of celebration,” said Ramirez. “The event was a blast -- entertainment for the evening was provided by 2 Grand Entertainment, who performed a Dueling Pianos show. This outrageous, all request, high energy performance was one our attendees will never, ever, forget!”

The program ended with an important and exciting announcement that will benefit the community.  The Foundation met their goal to provide money for Wireless EKG Machines in 21 Bi-County Ambulances.

The aggressive fundraising campaign for the EKG Wireless Monitors included: The Foundation’s Annual Fairway to Health Golf Tournament, the yearly Annual Appeal, and with the help of hundreds of sponsors, the Foundation reached its goal in raising funds to help place Wireless EKG Machines in 21 Bi-County Ambulances.

This important technology is a major benefit to our community, as it enables Rideout Emergency staff and physicians to determine the best course of care and gives the hospital time to put appropriate staff in place in route – before a patient arrives at the ER.

Special thanks to Bi-County Ambulance who split the cost with the Foundation to provide this very important medical technology for the community we serve.
