10/14/2010Yuba City/Marysville California - Hospital nurses at Rideout Health Group have voted to ratify a new labor contract that goes into effect immediately.
"We are pleased that the nurses ratified the contract", said Tresha Moreland, VP, Human Resources for Rideout Health Group. "Our leadership team and the California Nurses Association (CNA) team worked together to reach an agreement and to develop a contract that is fair to nurses and that will support FRHG in our efforts to regain financial stability".
The hospitals roughly 450 nurses ratified on October 13 a tentative agreement that was reached several days earlier, after more than 2 months of negotiations.
"I want to thank everyone involved in the process for their willingness to work together," said Terri Hamilton, CEO, Rideout Health Group. "We are appreciative of our nurses for the quality and professional care they provide our patients and our community every day."
The one-year contract expires on Sept. 30, 2011
