Aortic Aneurysm Disease and Its Treatment Speaker: Andrew Macbeth, MD, FACS, Vascular Surgeon

10/08/2010
Rideout Health Group offers this free Community Health Education Class (CHE) presented by Andrew Macbeth, MD, FACS, Vascular Surgeon.

Dr. Macbeth will present Aortic Aneurysm Disease and Its Treatment on October 14, 2010 at the Rideout Conference Center, 6-7P. Come and learn about signs, symptoms, family history and treatment.

Your Important Aorta: A thoracic aortic aneurysm is a weakened and bulging area in the upper part of the aorta, the major blood vessel that feeds blood to the body. The aorta, about the thickness of a garden hose, runs from your heart through the center of your chest and abdomen. Because the aorta is the body’s main supplier of blood, a ruptured thoracic aortic aneurysm can cause life-threatening bleeding. Although you may never have symptoms, finding out you have a thoracic aortic aneurysm can be frightening.

Refreshments are provided. Seating is limited. Please call Michelle Downing to reserve your space at 751-4247.
