Rideout Hires Marketing Manager

Rideout Health Group has appointed award-winning creative director Linda Plummer as the health group's new Marketing Manager.

In her new position, Linda will develop, coordinate and manage advertising campaigns for the health group.

"With the growth of FRHG, we are broadening our marketing efforts and Linda Plummer will play a vital role in these efforts," said Terri Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer, Rideout Health Group.

"Linda has demonstrated her unique skills in private, public and non-profit marketing and graphic design for the past 20 years in this community, and we are very pleased to have her on board," said Hamilton.

A native of Pennsylvania who grew up in Los Angeles, Plummer opened a marketing and graphic design business in Marysville in 1989. In 1998, she moved her business under the corporate umbrella of Freedom Newspapers Inc., which publishes the Appeal-Democrat, and has been creative director of that endeavor, previously known as the ADAgency and now named Wag The Frog, until taking the new position with FRHG.

She established the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce publications InnerView and Business Today, and was named Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of The Year in 1992. She created the tourism magazine 99 Things and More, and developed the post-flood Yuba-Sutter Image Improvement Campaign of 1997 that won editorial praise from the Los Angeles Times.

In 2008, she received the Don Award in recognition of her efforts in developing Way, Way, Way Off Broadway, the annual musical fundraiser sponsored by the Rotary Club of Yuba City that has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities. Her design and marketing efforts for the City of Yuba City's annual Cultural Celebration has won numerous state-wide awards.

Linda has also helped to garner national awards for clients including: The Yuba-Sutter Mall, Celebrating 10 Years - Best Event and Marketing Collateral,; City of Yuba City Parks & Recreation, Best Logo Design; Sierra Central Credit Union,  Best Logo Design and Marketing Collateral; and the Rideout Health Group, Your Hospital Campaign.

"This is a perfect fit," stated Carol Ramirez, FRHG VP, Foundation and Community Relations, "Linda has been involved in many marketing efforts for FRHG and the Rideout Foundation, including Fairway To Health; Rideout Hospital's Centennial Anniversary; the rollout for the new Urgent Care Center; and marketing and collateral materials for the Heart Center at Rideout; and the Fremont-Rideout Cancer Center. In 1995, her firm arranged for the closure of the Fifth Street Bridge to shoot a picture of nurses from Fremont and Rideout hospitals arranged in a heart, as part of a tribute for National Nurses Week."

Linda's office is located at the Rideout Administration office at 989 Plumas Street in Yuba City and she can be reached at 751-4268.
