Country Florist and Volunteers Work Together to Bring Smiles to People Through Beautiful Flower Arrangements

Local Florist helps Kick Off Teleflora's National 2009 Make Someone Smile Week

Patients at Rideout facilities: The Fountains, The Gardens, The Courtyard, Hospice and the Cancer Center will benefit from a special delivery beginning, Monday, July 20 thanks to Country Florist owner/operator Kevin DeHoff and a host of generous volunteers.

Country Florist is participating along with thousands of Teleflora member florists across the country in the Make Someone Smile Week program, the floral industry's leading benevolent project.

The program runs from July 19 through July 25, and is a coordinated effort spearheaded by local Teleflora member florists who volunteer their time to create and deliver bouquets to those who need a smile. Florists in more than 144 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada, are expected to participate this year.

According to DeHoff, deliveries to the following local agencies will be made:

•     July 20 - The Gardens, The Fountains and The Courtyard -9a-12p.

•     July 21 - Prestige Assisted Living, Summerfield - 9a-12p.

•     July 22 - With assistance from Rideout Hospice volunteers to homebound  Fremont-Rideout Hospice patients.

•     Deliveries to the Rideout Cancer Center will be made daily.

"I am honored to be able to participate in this worthwhile project," said DeHoff. "And, I am truly appreciative of the volunteers who will be helping me design the arrangements all day Sunday, July 19."
