Do I Need A Hysterectomy Redefining Women’s Health Care. A Free Community Health Education Class for Women.

On December 10, 2009, Christopher Genobaga, MD, FACOG, a physician with " 'W', A Center For Women's Health", will present: "Do I Need A Hysterectomy?" a free Community Health Education class.

This free Community Health Education (CHE) class is sponsored by the Rideout Health Group, and will be held at the Fremont-Rideout Conference Center, 989 Plumas Street in Yuba City beginning at 5:30 PM. Dr. Genobaga is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist.

"Minimally invasive Laparoscopic Hysterectomies are redefining women's health," stated Dr. Genobaga. "The surgery offers women safer and sometimes more effective alternatives to traditional procedures. Minimally invasive hysterectomy allows for quicker recoveries and less pain and costs less too." According to healthcare experts, traditional solutions, such as hysterectomy, particularly the commonly used total abdominal hysterectomy are more costly to the healthcare system and therefore more costly to patients.

Dr. Genobaga's presentation will include:

•              Reasons for hysterectomy

Fibroids, Menorrhagia, Endometriosis, Uterine Prolapse, Female Reproductive Cancers, Heavy Uterine Bleeding

•              What is hysterectomy?

Abdominal, Vaginal, Laparoscopic.

•              Do I really need a Hysterectomy?

Often a hysterectomy is an elective treatment, meaning there may be other options    available to treat fibroids, endometriosis, uterine pro-lapse and heavy bleeding.

                - If having a hysterectomy is the best option for you, there are several types of              hysterectomies available including, minimally invasive procedures.

•              Benefits of minimally invasive Hysterectomy.

Less time in the hospital, quicker recovery, less pain and less scarring.

Dr. Christopher Genobaga is one of a growing number of surgeons worldwide providing Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. He performs Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery at the Fremont Medical Center in Yuba City, California.

"After years of performing abdominal surgery for women with conditions that require hysterectomy, I have seen the benefit that Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery offers women for the treatment of these various conditions."

To learn more about Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Hysterectomies, please call, Dr. Genobaga at (530) 671-8718.
