Rideout Health (RH) today announced two new alliances for the healthcare organization, both designed to extend and enhance delivery of its medical services outside the acute-care hospital setting. At the time of its recent re-branding, RH stated its intention to pursue additional avenues for improving access to and coordination of primary and specialty care for outpatient. These include clinical integration with physicians for more coordinated care, partnerships with selected providers for improving access and services, like its successful 12-year partnership with UC Davis at the Rideout Cancer Center and the expansion and upgrading of Rideout's outpatient locations and facilities.
For its home health and hospice services, Rideout has formed a limited partnership (LLP) with Nightingale Home Healthcare, a national leader in this field, headquartered in Indiana with operations in 11 states, including California (San Diego). Nightingale was selected for the partnership because it brings educational and technological resources available only with a larger scale operation such as theirs. The new company will be called Rideout Home Health, in Partnership with Rideout Health. (Previously, the service was called Rideout Home Health). The company will remain at its current location, 939
Live Oak Blvd., Yuba City, (530-673-7100) with all current Rideout employees, who will retain their full Rideout seniority with the new entity. As before, Rideout Home Health RNs and aides will handle both home health and hospice care for Rideout patients. The Rideout Foundation will continue to recruit and train hospice volunteers who provide complementary compassionate support to those nearing the end of life.
Primary care has become a key focus for Rideout in its commitment to community wellness. Also announced today is the integration of Rideout Health with the Yuba City medical practice headed by Dr. Jasbir Kang and Dr. Yash Brar, who also are leaders of Rideout's hospitalist program. Plumas Street Primary Care by Rideout Health, located at 481 Plumas Blvd., Suite 104, Yuba City (530-674-2434), becomes Rideout's first hospital-based clinic for primary care. More primary and specialty care agreements will be announced in the next month.
"Our mission is 'to provide compassionate and superior healthcare to everyone in our community and region,' said Rideout Health CEO Theresa Hamilton. "These new alliances further enhance our ability to provide the full continuum of care for both inpatient and outpatient services."
