YUBA CITY/MARYSVILLE, CA, May 1, 2012 — Rideout Health will observe National Nurses Week May 6 through 12 with a series of events in honor of the more than 500 Registered Nurses and 400 nursing support staff working at its various healthcare facilities, including: Rideout Memorial Hospital, Fremont Medical Center, Fremont-Rideout Cancer Center, Feather River Surgery Center, Fremont-Rideout Urgent Care/Occupational Health, Fremont-Rideout Home Health, Hospice and at our Senior Living and Skilled Nursing facilities.
"Nurses' have been on the front line since Florence Nightingale served in the Crimean War, and they remain a vital link in the modern healthcare continuum," said FRHG CEO Terri Hamilton. "Every May, we pause to formally celebrate their contributions to our patients and our community, but we are reminded daily of just how important nurses are to virtually every aspect of patient care."
During Nurses Week we will be celebrating our nursing staff at all of our facilities with Barbecue and other goodies for all shifts and gifts for every nurse. Proclamations will be presented at City Council meetings in Marysville and Yuba City on May 1 and at Sutter and Yuba County Board of Supervisor meetings in May.
