The local Rideout Hospice feels very fortunate to be invited to participate in Camp HUG (Hospice Understands Grief), a camp for children who have lost a loved one. Held at the beautiful Eagle Lake Ronald McDonald Camp, where children learn how to deal with their grief in healthy ways.
The 14th Annual Camp HUG will be held September 10, 11 & 12, 2010.
This camp is for children 8-18 who have had a close friend or family member die within the last two years. Children have an opportunity to stay in cabins, perform crafts, swim, play games, learn archery, hike and more.
Applications to attend Camp Hug and more information can be picked up at the Rideout Hospice office, 939 Live Oak Blvd., Yuba City.
For more information, please call Mary Lynn Maslan at 530 790-3006.
The deadline for submitting an application is September 4, 2010.
There is no fee for the camp, it is a community service program sponsored by the Rideout Foundation.
