February 25, 2010 (Yuba City, CA) - Rideout Health Group (FRHG) announced today that it has made several changes to its Board of Directors.

Two long-serving board members, Mallard Huntley and William Gilbert, have retired from the board, effective December 31, 2009. Mr. Huntley served on the board for 37 years. Mr. Gilbert has been a member of the FRHG board for 18 years.

"The Rideout Board of Directors is deeply grateful to have been served for more than a half century by Mal Huntley and Bill Gilbert," said Mr. Jim Kennedy, chairman of the FRHG Board of Directors. "These two extraordinary gentlemen exemplify the commitment and sacrifice that has helped FRHG grow from a small local health group to a comprehensive health services organization serving more than 160,000 people in the Yuba-Sutter area. Their seats will be filled but they can never be replaced."

In the wake of the departures of Mr. Huntley and Mr. Gilbert, three new Directors have been elected to the board: Mr. Bob Chason, Ms. Janice Nall, and Mr. David Tarke.

Mr. Chason is the former chief executive officer of the University of California Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, an institution he served for 25 years and led through unprecedented growth. Ms. Nall is the president and chief executive officer of California Molded Products, Inc. She currently sits in key leadership positions on six local boards and committees. Mr. Tarke is a financial advisor at Edward Jones Investments and has served the Yuba-Sutter community in more than a half-dozen positions.

In addition to Mr. Chason, Ms. Nall, and Mr. Tarke, the FRHG Board of Directors includes Mr. Kennedy; Mr. John Weiler, Vice Chair; Ms. Lisa Del Pero, Secretary; Mr. John Cary, Treasurer; Mr. Tom Pfeffer; and Mr. Ron Sweeney. The board also includes three voting physician members, Dr. Alexandra Reichman, M.D., Dr. Floyd V. Burton, M.D., and Dr. Rupinder S. Brar, M.D., who join Dr. Doug Tolley, M.D, and Chief of Staff and Dr. Jasbir Kang, M.D., outgoing Chief of Staff to bring the number of sitting physicians to five.

"We extend our gratitude to our retiring board members and a warm welcome to our new directors and look forward to their contributions to helping us achieve our mission to provide superior and compassionate healthcare to all we serve," said Terri Hamilton, chief executive officer of Fremont-Rideout Health Group. "These volunteer board members are exemplary individuals who are all committed to ensuring that we are delivering high quality healthcare services to our communities and we are fortunate to have them serving on our board."
