(ARC). Proceeds will go benefit the Rideout Hospital Emergency Expansion
Project and the American Red Cross of Northeastern California towards
compassionate services in 14 counties.
"Last year, Dance With Our Stars was a huge hit, we sold out –
raising more than $40,000 for the ARC and the Rideout Foundation. This
year, we extended the event to two days," said Carol Ramirez, FRHG
VP, Community Relations, Foundation and Marketing. "Everyone we talk
to about it is so excited. We're expecting that this year we'll
have another sell-out."
"The event is extremely important in helping the Foundation and the
ARC raise money," she said. "Especially with the current economy
and funding cutbacks."
Ramirez said determining the winner of Dance with Our Stars is based on
3 elements, whoever raises the most money: People's Choice Award --
and dancing ability: Judges Choice Award, and Voter's Choice –
the dancer that raises the most money the night of the event." "Each
dancer is paired up with a talented 'professional' who will make
sure that everyone has a chance to win."
Each "Celebrity" has a dance professional that guides them through
more than a 12 week process. The evening of the event, the dancers will
perform (2) 2-minute styles of dances. All dancers will perform the "Swing"
as their first dance and the second one is the "Dancer's Choice".
There is a limited amount of tickets still available for both nights. Each
evening the Ballroom can accommodate over 500 people. Call today for your

About Dance With Our Stars
What Is Dance With Our Stars?
At Dance With Our Stars, you'll Shake, Rattle, Roll and SWING your
way to a very good deed, indeed. You'll give ten Celebrity Dancers
a chance to participate in a "Once in a Lifetime" experience,
as they have accepted the challenge to train with a professional dancer
and to compete in front of a live audience and a distinguished panel of
judges. Their goal: To win one of six titles including the coveted Dance
With Our Stars Overall Champion, 2012 and to raise funds for two important causes:
Proceeds from this event will benefit:
The Rideout Foundation so that they may contribute to the on-going success of the FRHG by supporting
capital improvement projects, equipment and programs benefitting patients
and the community. Proceeds from DWOS 2012 will go towards our Emergency
Department Expansion. The enlarged facility will increase the total number
of beds to 37, and include:
• 13 multi use Observation Beds, alleviating pressure on inpatient
beds by patients still being observed and assessed, thus improving arrival-to-admission times
• A Rapid Care exam room, improving "door-to-discharge"
times for patients not requiring admission to the hospital
• An additional Triage room, substantially improving initial patient
assessment and care
• A dedicated radiology room and CT Scan room
The American Red Cross of Northeastern California to offer domestic disaster relief; community services for the needy; support
and comfort for military members and families; the collection and distribution
of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote
health and safety; and international relief and development programs.
We hope you will participate!
