Dr. Naomi Shieh-Chan has been a pediatrician in the Yuba-Sutter area since
1978, when she joined the staff of the USAF Hospital at Beale Air Force
Base. From 1983 to 1990, she was a staff pediatrician at the Marysville
Medical Clinic, and in private practice since 1991. Since 1983, she has
been an active member of the medical staff at both Fremont Medical Center
and Rideout Memorial Hospital. She joined the Rideout Women and Children’s
Clinic in 2013.
She has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics since 1989,
with recertifications in her specialty in 1996, 2002 and 2010. She also
is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, since 1989.
Born in Taiwan, Dr. Shieh-Chan is a graduate of Chung Shan Medical University
there. She emigrated to the United States in 1973. She completed her rotating
internship (at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ), and her residency
in pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She
became an American citizen in 1979.
