As we settle into a New Year, it is with sincere warmth that I extend my very best wishes to you and your family for a prosperous and memorable year in 2016.
Looking back on 2015, I’m amazed at howmuch we accomplished together. We overcame significant challenges, and began charting a new course for our organization’s future. And through it all, the Rideout family’s commitment to serving the people of our community was stronger than ever. We cleared some hurdles like regainingour CMS certification and our Joint Commissionaccreditation.
We opened our expanded ER, which was later recognized as “Distinguished Site of the Year” by CEP-America for the improvements the ER team has made in quality and efficiency. And we continued to make great progress toward the completion of our new Rideout Medical Center facility, which will enable us to strengthen and improve the care we are able to provide once its doors open later this year.
The new Rideout Medical Center will include state-of-the-art procedure rooms, pre- and post- operative care suites, new labor, delivery and post-partum suites, new patient care rooms, and a rooftop heliport. Our new kitchen and dining facilities will also allow us to provide a room-service program for our patients, further enhancing our patient-centered care.
2016 brings the promise of many more successes for Rideout as we build upon the foundation of excellence that we started in 2015. Staying on this path requires commitment, fortitude and tenacity, qualities that are abundant within the Rideout family. We remain steadfast in our commitment to sustaining our clinical improvements, to creating an exceptional patient experience, and to ensuring our financial security. We have undertaken several initiatives to drive success within each of these organizational priorities, and I look forward to sharing stories of our continued success with you in the coming months.
Every one of us at Rideout Health is embracing the opportunities of 2016 with the philosophy instilled in us by our remarkable former CEO Bob Chason: There is no finish line in our journey. I look forward to being on this journey with you to provide the highest quality care possible to our patients, their families, and this great community.
