MARYSVILLE, May 14, 2015 — This week has been a momentous one for
Rideout. On Tuesday, the long-anticipated Emergency Department expansion
at Rideout Memorial Hospital received its license after passing a final
inspection conducted by the California Department of Public Health, and
immediately opened its doors.
“Our new expanded ER elevates the quality of our institution and
delivers the high standards of excellence that our community deserves,”
said Robert Chason, CEO of Rideout Health. “We’ve waited for
a long time to celebrate this day. The review process was rigorous, as
it should be. I am extremely proud of the contributions each of our employees
has made to help get us to where we are today.”
The new, 5,000 square foot facility adds 13 beds to Rideout’s Emergency
Department capacity, an expansion that yields immediate benefits for the
community, alleviating ER wait times for patients throughout the region.
Then just two days later, on Thursday, Rideout’s Joint Commission
accreditation was also officially confirmed. The accreditation is recognized
nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects Rideout’s commitment
to meeting established hospital performance standards and best practices.
“This is no doubt a milestone week for us, but it’s really
a reflection of Rideout’s ongoing commitment to elevate the level
of care we provide. We will continue – every day – to improve
our quality and build a sustainable future that ensures Rideout’s
role as a trusted pillar in our community’s healthcare needs for
generations to come,” said Mr. Chason.
