Innovation is a catalyst for growth; without it organizations become static.
As Rideout Health moves into a new phase as an organization, we're
looking to innovate and make operations more efficient. The way things
were done in the past will no longer be enough to meet the evolving expectations
and needs of our employees and patients.
Our new leadership team is moving forward with renewed energy and direction.
We are determined to provide better care to our patients and create the
solutions to achieve this goal. We're committed to innovation that
makes the lives of our patients and staff better.
Innovation for us means constantly thinking about how we can do things
better, more efficiently or with a cleaner outcome. Whether it's creating
new processes, finding new technologies or products or evaluating our
current systems and equipment, we are committed to finding ways to better
serve the Yuba-Sutter community.
The largest innovation, of course, is the expansion of the Rideout Regional
Medical Center in Marysville. Construction is due to be completed fall,
2015, with patients accommodated in winter, 2015. The new six-level building
will include a two-story maternity unit and a rooftop heliport for life
flight operations. Patient rooms throughout the two hospital buildings
will be configured for single occupancy. There will be a dedicated entrance
and parking lot for the expanded emergency department on the south side
of the building, as well as a new 135-car parking lot in front of the
main entrance to the north.
While expansion of the Rideout Regional Medical Center is hugely innovative,
we recognize the need to have ongoing and honest dialogue with our employees,
patients and community leaders about the future direction of the hospital.
Listening to suggestions from every department and viewpoint will make
our operations stronger.
Not only will we continue to share updated information through our new
CEO Roundtable series, monthly letters, external newsletters and monthly
updates to our employees, we also are here to listen to what you have to say.
I want to get feedback from you about our work and how can we better serve
patients and staff because your voice matters. By listening to staff and
the broader community, we can be sure we are always adjusting to the needs
of our patients and our greater community.
As Apple founder Steve Jobs once said, "Innovation distinguishes between
a leader and a follower." Rideout aims to be leader and a trusted
source of advice, education and support – that is our commitment to you.
